GROUP
For 2006, the group will consist of Mark Balaun, Dani McCauley,
John McCauley, Steve Parks, and Chris Santistevan.
SATELLITES
1) We will only play 1 type of satellite. The cost will be $225
and will give 4 TEC's ($500 value each) as a prize, plus some
cash (approximately $125). It "costs" 4 TEC's to join
the $2000 event.
2) Each player will commit to playing 2 satellite events REGARDLESS
of the outcome of their first attempt.
3) All Tournament Entry Chips (TEC's) will be collected and disbursed
in the following manner.
3a) If EXACTLY 20 TEC's are collected, each player receives
4. Everyone is "in" the tourney.
3b) If MORE than 20 TEC's are collected, each player receives
4. The remainders are sold, and the proceeds from the sale will
be split 5 ways.
3c) If LESS than 20 TEC's are collected, the disbursement rules
are:
1) If you won one or more of your attempts, you automatically
get 4 TEC's.
2) The non-winning players will draw a card from a standard deck.
High card(s) win.
For example: We make the 10 attempts. We win 4 satellites (Chris
& Mark win 1, John wins 2. Chris, Mark, and John are automatically
in, and there are 4 TEC's remaining. Dani and Steve have a card
draw for the 4 TEC's. Dani win's the draw, Steve is out of luck.
4) The small amount of remaining cash in the satellite wins will
be kept by the winner (tip the dealer too).
DIRECT BUY-IN and SATELLITE DEDUCTIONS
5) Any group member cashing in the event will deduct expenses
from total winnings before calculating the 20% group payout. This
will cover the 2 satellite entries, and guarantees the winner
will come out ahead. This will also satisfy anyone wishing to
buy-in directly.
20% POOL
6) After cashing, the winner will deduct all “entry expenses”
from total winnings. (If you played the standard two satellites,
this will be $450. If you bought in directly AND played the satellites,
this will be $2450. Additional voluntary satellites will be allowed
at $225 each).
7) The winner will request the "split payout" forms
and disburse 5% of what remains to each group member. This amounts
to 20% of the winners payout.
8) Payouts will not include the winning member. In multiple win
scenarios, winners are only excluded from their “own”
wins. For example, John and Steve cash in the event. Steve gets
5% of John; John gets 5% of Steve.
WIN BIG
9) If any one player wins “BIG”, then they must also
buy dinner for the rest of the members.
