Ok so this started out
as Giblet Gravy, but the kids only care about the egg. It is creamy
and delicious.
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
1-3 chopped hard boiled eggs (meh eggs = 1, most people = 2, my
kids = 3)
Optional: cooked shreds of poultry gibblets, meat trimmings
Directions
Over low heat melt the butter.
Turn heat up, add the flour. Stir into a roux.
Slowly add chicken broth while firmly whisking.
Add a little broth if too thick to your liking.
Add eggs, meat pieces, and stir gently to mix in.
It's pretty much done now. If you want to let GENTLY simmer a while, that's ok too.
